Castellammare del Golfo

The city is set in the beautiful Gulf of Castellammare and at the foot of a high mountain rich in lush vegetation that slopes gently towards the sea to the peninsula where, between two magnificent sandy beaches, The Castle of Norman origin rises and then rebuilt by the Aragonese.  

Charming seaside resort, together with the nearby Scopello, on the territory extends part of the Zingaro nature reserve, where extend some km of coast that still hides unspoiled corners with coves, Faraglioni , coastal towers and especially one of the last strips of Mediterranean vegetation. Paradise for those who love the pristine sea, nature and cliffs at the precipice of the sea.

During the Christmas holidays in the small village of Balata di Baida, there is one of the most evocative living living presepe  in Sicily and in the province of Trapani.
